Sonography is an indispensable method for evaluating the internal structure of the thyroid gland.  During the examination, the thyroid gland, parathyroid gland and surrounding lymph nodes are examined.

 Indications:

 The research is applied for by:

 * visible changes in the size of the thyroid gland

 * changes in size and hardness detected during palpation of the thyroid gland

 * suspicion of functional changes

 * thyroid problems in relatives

 * in case of previous operations on the thyroid gland

 * during pregnancy.

 Contraindications

 The study has no contraindications.
