The labial, sublingual and submandibular salivary glands are examined.
Indications:
The research is done by:
* For differentiation of gland swelling and tumors
* For the detection of sialoliths, 80% of sialoliths are found in the submandibular salivary glands and 20% in the paranasal salivary glands.
* For the diagnosis of sialadenitis: bacterial or viral (epidemic parotitis).
* For the diagnosis of sialadenosis
* For the detection of dilatation of the duct
* For the diagnosis of tumors.
Contraindications
The method is absolutely safe and has no contraindications.
