TREADMILL TEST

Treadmill stress test is a type of physical stress test in which continuous electrocardiogram recording is performed.  The research is carried out using the X-SCRIBE system of MORTARA INSTRUMENT, the leader in ECG technology.  The stress test provides an opportunity to assess the functional capabilities of the cardiovascular system under conditions of physical activity.  The goals of the treadmill test are:

 * Assessment of physical load tolerance

 * Determining the optimal load before playing sports or in athletes

 * Identification of persons with hypertensive reaction to stress among patients with high blood pressure

 * Detection of stress-induced arrhythmias

 * Assessment of treatment of arrhythmias

 * evaluation of presyncope (if it usually occurs during or after physical exertion).

 * Early detection of coronary heart disease in people with high cholesterol, high risk of atherosclerosis

 * Risk assessment after myocardial infarction

 * Evaluation of results of revascularization (coronary stenting or shunting) or drug treatment

 * Assessment of cardiopulmonary function of patients with dilated cardiopathy, heart failure.
